For those who can already fly as well as for those who get "hooked" on it, there are a variety of flying qualifications available from the private pilot's licence to night flying, IMC, multi-engine and more (have a look at the rest of this site for more details).

The Introductory Training Flight

Ranging from between 20 minutes and 1 hour of actual flying time, the Introductory Training Flight introduces you to flying an aircraft for the first time (or your first time with us).

What's included in an Introductory Training Flight?

Pre-flight briefing

Discover how your aircraft flies and how the controls work, and listen to your instructor explain the main flight instruments and complete your take-off checks.

Your flight

See how to fly the aircraft and handle the controls, and then actually get to do it yourself.

Post-flight briefing

Be de-briefed on your flight and your ability to proceed with further training (if you so wish), and ask any questions you may still have.

Certificate of aviation

Signed by your personal instructor and including the aircraft registration number, this A4 sized certificate confirms you've flown the aircraft yourself.

How long does each flight actually last and how much does it cost?

You can choose from 4 flight times: 20 minutes at £44.00 30 minutes at £66.00 40 minutes at £88.00 60 minutes at £124.00 When you book, don't forget the times stated are actual flying times and you'll need to allow an extra 30 minutes or so for the briefings.

What to do now If the flight is a gift Call us on 01487 834161 to order your voucher or send a cheque made payable to Aerolease Ltd to: Gavin Forrest Flying Club Conington Peterborough Business Airfield Holme Peterborough PE7 3PX To make it clear which flight you are booking, please click here to fill in and print off a form to send with your cheque. We'll then send you a flight voucher which is in the form of a small card (approximately A6 sized / 10cm width x 14cm height) with space for you to write the name of the person you're giving the gift to, as well as who it is from. The voucher is valid for a full 6 months, so you can either book a particular day and time yourself, or leave it to the person receiving the gift to choose when they would like to fly. For an additional £4.99, we'll also send you "The Introductory Flying Lesson", a 61 page book all about flying for the first time. If you'd like this book, please let us know when you call or send your payment. You'll also find a selection of gifts such as t-shirts at the club, and you're welcome to call in at any time to see what there is and to look round the facilities. "Celebration Courses" We have developed some special packages called "Celebration Courses" for those who don't want to do a complete training course but want something more than just a trial lesson or experience flight. Corporate and group outings Each group booking is very individual so rather than specify a particular format, we'd ask you to call Gavin Forrest, Chief Flying Instructor, to discuss the possibilities for your event. You can reach him on 01487 834161 from Tuesday to Saturday but you're welcome to call in any day of the week when the other members of the team will be pleased to chat with you.
